ABO Tracker

Frequently asked questions

What people ask most before installing.

Is it allowed by Sandbox Interactive?

Sandbox Interactive tolerates third-party tools that read network traffic without changing anything and that stay free. ABO Tracker follows those conditions: passive reading, no change to the game, no automated action. The studio does not approve any specific third-party tool, and showing information in an overlay remains a grey area, which is why the overlay is optional.

Is it really free?

Yes, every feature. There is no subscription and no advertising. Donations are optional and unlock nothing.

Why do I need to install Npcap?

Npcap lets Windows read network traffic. Its license forbids shipping it with ABO Tracker without a paid agreement, so you install it yourself from npcap.com.

What does the app send over the Internet?

Only public item names, to ask Albion Data Project for prices and the game's image service for icons, and the request for the donor list. Your name, your fights and your loot never leave your PC.

Can the overlay get in the way in combat?

Once locked, it lets clicks through and never takes focus from the game. Its transparency, size and number of rows can all be adjusted.

Does it work if I start the app mid-group?

Yes. The game only sends the party list when you join it: until then, ABO Tracker guesses your allies from the fights and says so under the damage meter.

What happens after an Albion patch?

A patch can shift the game's messages and break some features. I fix it as fast as I can and ship an update.

Which languages?

English, Russian, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, German and French. The app uses your Windows language on first launch, and you can change it in the settings.
